Gisele Bundchen Breaks Silence: Admittingly Worried For Tom Brady’s Health Following Un-Retiring

Tom Brady is a 45 year old man playing a young man’s game.

Over the last several weeks there have been various reports, or if you want to call them rumors, about Tom Brady and his relationship with his wife Gisele Bundchen. In the middle of training camp Tom Brady left the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for 11 days due to personal reasons. There were all sorts of theories for why Tom was on an excused absence, but ultimately it was about spending time with his family.

“As for his 11-day hiatus, sources say Brady spent the bulk of it in the Bahamas at a private resort with his family, making good on a mid-retirement promise he made to his wife, Gisele, that he would vacation with them in August for the first time in two decades,” Rapoport wrote. “During his time off, the Bucs left him alone to be with his family, fully respectful. There were no football conversations, the source said, no playbooks mailed to the Bahamas. It was his personal situation, and they allowed him to live.”

There have been reports that Bundchen did not approve of his return to football and it has put a real strain on their relationship.   Other reports that the two are not living together right now, and that Brady is doing his best to repair the marriage also surfaced.

According to an interview with Elle that was held prior to all the marriage trouble reports, Gisele spoke about her husband’s return to the field and how it concerned her. She feels like football is incredibly dangerous and a violent sport, and she just wants Tom to be healthy for the future of their marriage, but more importantly for their children.

Via Elle.com:

“Obviously, I have my concerns—this is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present,” she says. “I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again. But ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them]. He needs to follow his joy, too.”

Bündchen agreed with the interviewer’s take that it’s sexist how she is depicted in the media as desperate for Brady to retire.

“This is the system we’ve been living in,” she said. “That’s what society has accepted and what society hasn’t accepted.” She added that the media also “chooses to focus on things that are negative.”

Since the rumors came out, Elle tried to get a hold of Bundchen, but she gave a resounding, no comment.
