Patrick Mahomes Sends Out Major Warning To All Fantasy Football Owners Ahead of Chiefs First Game

Patrick Mahomes has a message for fantasy owners.

The Kansas City Chiefs will show off their new-look offense against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1 of the new NFL season. Things will probably look a little different this year following the Chiefs trading electric wide receiver Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins. The star quarterback has put up absolutely crazy numbers thus far in his career. Fantasy football owners absolutely love him the Chiefs’ offense, as it’s been raining down fantasy points for many years with Mahomes under center. However, Mahomes is sending out a warning to all fantasy football owners this season.

Per Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star, Patrick Mahomes advised that he’ll rely on “a different guy every week.”

“The biggest thing is there’s going to be a different player every single game that has the big game,” Mahomes said Wednesday as the Chiefs continued preparing for Sunday’s season opener at the Arizona Cardinals. “It’s not going to be just necessarily Tyreek and Travis [Kelce] every single week, where it’s like one or the other having a big game or both. Every single week, it’s going to be someone different.

“So I’m sorry to all you fantasy football guys. It’s going to come from everywhere, so you’re going to have to kind of choose the right guy every week.” said Mahomes.

To replace Tyreek Hill, the Chiefs signed free agents JuJu Smith-Schuster, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Justin Watson.

Mahomes completed 18 passes to 10 different receivers during the preseason, which he said will be how the season will most likely look as well. Thanks for the head up Pat.
