One New Team Now Being Linked To Jimmy Garoppolo

Will Jimmy Garoppolo be traded prior to the upcoming NFL season?

This week, reports are beginning to surface out of San Francisco that the team is thrilled with his injury recovery over the offseason, and they’re now expecting him to be cleared by next month.

Now, the Niners are officially giving Jimmy Garoppolo and his agent permission to seek out trades to teams he might want to play for next season.

49ers officially have given Jimmy Garoppolo’s agents Don Yee and Carter Chow permission to seek a trade, sources said. Garoppolo has been cleared to start practicing, per team source; 49ers still are expected to exercise caution with him this summer.

With the new news on Jimmy Garoppolo, another team is being linked to the veteran quarterback: the New York Giants.

On “The Herd” today, FS1’s Colin Cowherd used pie as an analogy when saying he thinks there’s about a 70% chance Jimmy G ends up in New York.

The Giants are currently rolling into Training Camp with Daniel Jones as their QB1, giving the young signal-caller one last opportunity to prove he’s the guy for the future.

However, it’s now at the point where new offensive coach Brian Daboll has seen plenty of Jones, and it wouldn’t come as a huge surprise if he were to want a guy with Garoppolo’s resume instead.

With Jimmy Garoppolo now healthy, a trade could materialize pretty quickly, and the New York Giants might just be that team to pounce.
