Mitchell Trubisky Addressed the Kenny Pickett Chants Following Loss to New England Patriots

Mitch is already feeling the heat.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mitch Trubisky had a pretty rough day at the  office on Sunday and it was made even more difficult by the Steelers  fans already calling to replace him.  Steelers fans could be heard chanting “Kenny” repeatedly. The fans were calling for rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett to replace Trubisky after a tough 17–14 loss to the New England Patriots.

Following the game, Mithcell Trubisky addressed the Kenny Pickett chants.

“It is what it is,” he said. You just block it out and continue to play football.”

Pickett was top quarterback selected in the 2022 draft and is clearly the future for the Pittsburgh Steelers, but Trubisky won the starting job during training camp. Since being drafted with the No. 2 pick by the Bears all the way back in 2017, Trubisky has had a difficult start to his career, but overall he has a pretty decent record as a starter.  He’s just one of those perplexing QB’s to watch each and every Sunday.

Watch the Pickett Chants below:

After little success with the Chicago Bears, Mitchell Trubisky signed with the Buffalo Bills in 2021 to be Josh Allen’s backup, and then signed a deal with the Steelers in March.  Trubisky finished with just 168 passing yards along with one touchdown and one interception. A pretty miserable outing for Mitch.

“We can be better at everything,” Trubisky said. “I can be better with decision making. We had some missed opportunities with missed throws. We had a couple where we weren’t on the same page. Bottom line, we’ve got to score more points.”

A few more duds like this from Mitch, expect Kenny Pickett to get the nod. .
