Stephen A. Smith Reacts to Being Compared to Sammy Sosa

Stephen A. Smith is always camera ready.

During an appearance on the Dan Le Batard Show earlier this week, Stephen A. Smith discussed ESPN’s alleged ban on discussing politics.

Smith confirms that he understands it. Smith says he gets that viewers come to ESPN mostly for sports conversation. However, he adds that ESPN, or any company for that matter, must be consistent with such a rule, applying it to everyone.

“You can’t let one person get away with [talking politics at ESPN] and not let the other person get away with it,” Smith said. “The rules have to be for everybody. ”

Last night Stephen A. was back doing his NBA Playoffs coverage duty staying away from politics, and some on Twitter noticed that he looked pretty light, mostly due to his makeup. Stephen A. took to Twitter to react to someone comparing him to Sammy Sosa.

See his tweet below:

“Bro, I complained about the exact same thing last night. Except I said Michael Jackson. Not Sammy Sosa”

Apparently Jalen Rose’s makeup was also a little light:

Stephen A. has gone Hollywood.

This guy has fake argued his way straight to the bank. Wearing makeup on camera is just part of the gig…
