Kevin Durant Getting Mercilessly Trashed Following Warriors Championship Without Him

Kevin Durant is getting no love today.

The Golden State Warriors defeated the Boston Celtics 103-90 on Thursday night, winning their fourth NBA Finals trophy in the last eight seasons. It was also their first championship in the post-Kevin Durant era, and the dynasty is alive and well. Of course anyone who thought they couldn’t win without Durant is now eating their words. Not only did they win one before Durant showed up, but now they have after he left.

Kevin Durant benefitted greatly from Steph being the center of attention to opposing defenses. But let’s not act like KD was a bum. The dude is still an all time great scorer. But if he never played for the Warriors there’s a good chance he’d still be ring-less.

KD will need to win one more if he wants any credit for the two he already has.
