James Harden’s Pay Cut With Sixers Revealed

James Harden is finally looking like the good guy.

The NBA megastar could have opted into a $47 million deal with the Sixers. Instead, Harden decided to opt out of the deal and work on securing a lesser contract with the Philadelphia Sixers. Harden’s goal is to win a Championship, and he ultimately made this move because he knows taking less money will mean more flexibility for his team moving forward.

According to Shams Charania, it has been revealed that Harden is looking at a very simple two-year deal in which he will have a player option in the second year. In addition to this, he will take a pay cut of $15 million.

This is a pretty enormous pay cut for James Harden, however, his time to win an NBA Chip is running out. At times last season Harden looked well past his prime. Maybe his commitment to the team first will help him get over the hump.
