Devin Booker’s Timetable to Return Has Officially Been Revealed

If the Phoenix Suns are going to advance past the New Orleans Pelicans, they may have to do it without Devin Booker.

Suns star Devin Booker is out after sustaining a right hamstring strain in Game 2 of their opening round playoff series on Tuesday, the team announced via Bally Sports Arizona:

“Devin Booker has sustained a mild right hamstring strain, an MRI confirmed today. There is no timetable for his return and updates will be provided as appropriate.”

Now it appears a timetable has been set. According to Brian Windhorst, he’s going to be out up to two weeks with a Grade 1 hamstring pull.

The level of luck you need in order to not get hurt during a playoff run is incredible.

Makes you appreciate how tough, lucky, and talented the teams that were able to repeat or even three peat as champions.

All this load management doesn’t seem to be working. It feels like the more teams try to protect their players from injury, the more they get injured when they’re actually playing.

In the first two games of the Suns’ first-round series against the Pelicans, Booker had 25 points, eight assists and four rebounds in Game 1 and 31 points in just 24 minutes in Game 2.
