Charles Barkley Reacts To Kevin Durant’s ‘Bus Driver’ Response

Charles Barkley and Kevin Durant have had quite the back-and-forth this week.

To start the whole war-of-words, Barkley called out Durant following the sweep to the Celtics by saying e’s been a “bus rider” his entire career.

“All these bus riders, they don’t mean nothing to me. If you ain’t driving the bus, don’t walk around talking about ‘you a champion.’ If you’re riding the bus, I don’t want to hear it,” Barkley said. “Come on Shaq, tell’ em. All these guys walk around with these championship rings. Hey, ya’ll bus riders. But let me tell you something. When you’re the bus driver and you got all that pressure when you have to play well or you going to get the blame? That’s a different animal.”

In response, Kevin Durant took to social media to slam Charles Barkley over having some pretty stacked teams of his own back in the day.

Of course, you had to know that Charles Barkley wasn’t going to let the Kevin Durant feud end there. But he actually had a pretty civil tone when referencing his previous comments.

After claiming he could have used the same logic to slam Durant about his days with Russell Westbrook, James Harden and Serge Ibaka in OKC, Sir Charles digresses.

“KD is a great player,” Barkley said on NBA on TNT. “Only point I was making, life is different when you’re driving the bus.”

Clearly, Kevin Durant is sick of being disrespected and made out to be the scapegoat for the Nets’ failures. And Charles Barkley’s comments really struck a cord.

At the end of the day, KD has to know that he needs to win a ring without the Warriors for his legacy to be complete.

We’re here for the Kevin Durant-Charles Barkley feud, though.
