Will Zalatoris FedEx St. Jude Championship Win: Bettor Left With Tough Cash Out Decision Following The Triumph

Will Zalatoris is finally a PGA winner.

After many close calls throughout the season, Willy Z finally came through at the first playoff event — the FedEx St. Jude Championship — this past weekend.

When Zalatoris made a clutch putt in the playoff against Sepp Straka, he let out some of his pent up frustrations for being so close.

“What are they gonna say now?” Zalatoris yelled after pulling ahead of Straka.

After the win, Fanduel revealed that one bettor put together a huge parlay between three unlikely events: the Will Zalatoris FedEx St. Jude Championship win, Alabama winning the college football championship, and the Chargers to win the Super Bowl.

The bet was a mere $20, but it would pay out a massive $126k. However, if the bettor decided to cash out after Zalatoris’ win, he could net $1,475.11 right now.

Obviously, this bettor is left with a tough predicament following Will Zalatoris’s win, but we’d expect him to let it ride out with a chance to complete the unlikely parlay.

After all, the leg with the longest odds already hit…

Speaking after the win, Zalatoris spoke on finally getting the job done.

“It’s hard to say, ‘About time,’ when it’s your second year on tour, but it’s about time,” Zalatoris said to ESPN. “Considering all those close finishes, it means a lot.”

It’s clear that Will Zalatoris is quickly becoming one of the few rising stars in the world of golf, and he definitely made a lot of bettors real happy this past weekend.
