Nebraska Fans Create Incredibly Large Cup Snake After Free Beer Given at Aviva Stadium in Ireland

It’s safe to say that Nebraska Cornhuskers fans are enjoying their trip to Ireland to kick off the college football season.

During the opening game against Northwestern, fans who made the long trek to the game were granted a nice gift when beer at Aviva Stadium became free thanks to a WIFI malfunction.

Of course, this led to ridiculously long lines and fans swarming the concessions. But it also led to some fun in the stands, as well.

All over social media, Nebraska fans are bragging about the ridiculously long beer cup snake they were able to create in the fan section of Aviva Stadium.

Despite a first half deficit to the lowly Northwestern squad, Nebraska quarterback Casey Thompson was able to lead his team to snatch the lead right back early in the third quarter.

Now, the Cornhuskers and Wildcats are locked in a tight one in Ireland, and fans are loving every last minute of it.

Before the game, Nebraska head coach Scott Frost spoke on how much it meant for his program to be given the opportunity to play a game in Ireland.

“Yeah, it’s mostly mentally right now,” Frost told Fox Sports about the Ireland experience. “With a game like that, a lot of it has to come down to how well you’re able to handle it. And we’re gonna go over there a little early, and make sure that we get adjusted to the time.

“I want our guys to understand that that challenge is in front of them, make sure they know the details. So we can try to handle it like pros.”
